I've always loved the way photography freezes a millisecond, capturing forever something someone else might not have even noticed or something you want to look at longer. I appreciate this even more now that my son and daughter are teenagers. I know first-hand how fleeting every seemingly-endless phase of childhood really is.

My children's portraits are featured in the spring '08 book, Photographing Children, Photo Workshop, published by Wiley.

In addition to my commission work, I also photograph children for personal work. These photographs have been shown in galleries and museums across the country, including the Caldbeck Gallery and Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, Maine. Down East Books is publishing a collection of my portraits and stories of people living in my community in early '09.
